David Rios

David Rios is from Donna, Texas, a small town located in the lower Rio Grande Valley. The first photos he ever took were shot with a Pentax K1000 he used as part of a darkroom photography course in 8th grade. After college he traveled the world and found himself living in Japan, where he gained an interest in traditional Japanese culture, including sumo wrestling. He currently splits his time between Austin and Honolulu and is searching for his next photographic and international adventures. When he’s not traveling or working, you can find him in his darkroom, tinkering with vintage computers, listening to music from his collection of vintage vinyl records, hanging out at a jazz club, or spending time with his dog, Luna.
